About the game

Cook impossible orders while your tiny kitchen outruns a comet storm.

Comet Kitchen is a rapid memory-and-sequencing game served in short sessions. Read each alien order, prepare ingredients in the exact sequence, and keep the dining counter calm as the comet clock accelerates.

It is a memory game that respects the fact that memory is not speed. The order is shown for as long as you need it; the clock only starts when you begin entering. That single decision removes the usual frustration of memory games, where a good recall is punished by a slow read, and it means the difficulty comes entirely from sequence length rather than from reading pressure.

Orders grow from three ingredients to six, and the jump from four to five is where most shifts end. Five is past the point where a sequence can be held as a single shape and has to be chunked — the players who clear ten guests are generally the ones who split long orders into two halves rather than trying to hold the whole line.

A shift is a few minutes at most, which makes it the easiest game here to play once while waiting for something.

How to play

Read each order, then enter it with keys 1 to 4 or by clicking the ingredient buttons, in the exact sequence shown.

Orders run from three to six ingredients. Three mistakes close the kitchen; serving ten guests completes the shift.

The order stays visible until you begin entering it, so take the time to read — the clock is on your entry, not your recall. Past four ingredients, stop trying to hold the sequence as one shape and split it into two halves; almost every shift that ends early ends on a five- or six-ingredient order entered from a single glance.
